Krex Graphite Engine Lubricant, our company's ground breaking friction modifier, was the sole product in our repertoire for over thirty years.  Graphite is developed from an intense process utilizing pure petroleum.  The product itself is all petroleum.  The use of graphite has been essential for decades due to it's lubricating properties.  More effective lubrication allows oil to act more efficiently as a cooling agent.  By providing a level of lubrication that oil does not match, graphite effectively reduces friction.  Friction creates heat and wear metal, which are detrimental to your engine.

Krex Graphite Engine Lubricant contains ABSOLUTELY NO ADDITIVES!  A stunning fact few people realize is that fully formulated motor oil, both conventional and synthetic, are comprised of approximately 75% refined oil and 25% additives.  The additives in fully formulated oil are necessary to allow the oil to function properly by keeping it clean, regulating oil consistency, stabilizing molecules and providing many other important functions.  This delicate blend is balanced to provide proper protection to internally lubricated engine parts.  Introducing additional additives to the engine could disrupt that balance and cause the oil to not function properly, and this is why we are told by our manufacturers to not use additives.

Krex Graphite Engine Lubricant compliments this balance, because the graphite particles adhere themselves to the engine, much like a magnet does to metal.  Therefore, graphite does not alter the engine oil whatsoever!

As vehicle specifications have become more demanding, the need for products to provide more complex maintenance services became increasingly common place.  In the 1970's, engines were being designed smaller and more compact.  This design style made engines more susceptible to carbon build-up.  Thus, products such as Krex Combustion Chamber Cleaner and Krex Fuel System and Injector Cleaner became a necessity.
